Vega is Markforged’s first high-temperature engineered plastic — a high-performance carbon fiber-filled PEKK designed for 3D printing critical aerospace components. When reinforced with continuous fiber, Vega can achieve aluminum-like strength, making it suitable for replacing structural, non-critical aerospace parts. It features a smooth black matte finish, ideal for production parts with minimal post-processing. Vega is a traceable material and is compatible with FX20 printers.
Vega works well with both Carbon Fiber HT and Carbon Fiber HT-A, with CF-HT-A being recommended for maximum reliability and material/system qualification.
