Why Choose Formlabs ESD Resin?
Both versions share the same core performance benefits, engineered to meet the requirements of modern electronics manufacturing floors:
-
Intrinsic Dissipation: Unlike anti-static coating that can scratch off, these dissipative properties are baked into the resin chemistry for permanent, consistent performance.
-
High Rigidity: Both version offer high tensile modulus, ensuring your fixtures stay rigid and accurate, even when subjected to repetitive, high-volume assembly tasks.
-
Dust & Debris Management: The anti-static nature of these resins prevents the attraction of dust and particulate matter, keeping your assembly environment and your components cleaner.
FAQ
Which Version Should I Buy for My Printer?
Please select the version that matches your specific printer generation. The ESD Resin (Form 4) is specifically tuned for the light engine of the Form 4, while the ESD Resin (Form 3) is specifically tuned for the laser-scanning process of the Form 3. Using the incorrect version can lead to print failures.
Is Post-Curing Required?
Yes. Proper post-curing is non-negotiable for ESD materials. Following the validated time and temperature profiles in your Form Cure V2 is the only way to ensure your parts reach the required surface resistivity and mechanical strength.
Can I Use ESD Resin for Medical Applications?
Formlabs ESD Resin is designed for industrial/electronics use. It is not biocompatible. If you require medical-grade, static-dissipative materials for clinical environments, please contact our support team to discuss specialized material options.
