Maximum Thermal Stability for Extreme Environments
High Temp Resin is engineered for applications where dimensional stability under intense heat is the absolute priority. With an HDT of 238 degrees Celsius, it can withstand the temperatures of many common industrial processes. On the Form 4, it prints up to 3x faster than previous generations, allowing engineers to iterate on high-heat components like molds, manifolds, and sensors in a matter of hours.
Key Features
-
Market-Leading Heat Resistance: Boasts an HDT of 238 degrees Celsius, allowing parts to maintain their shape and strength in environments that would melt or deform standard 3D printing materials.
-
Exceptional Dimensional Stability: Features a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), ensuring that high-tolerance fits remain accurate even during rapid temperature cycling.
-
Transparent Amber Aesthetic: The translucent finish allows for the visual inspection of internal channels, fluid flow, or the fitment of internal electronics and sensors.
-
Hot Fluid & Gas Compatibility: Ideal for parts that come into direct contact with boiling liquids or high-pressure steam.
Ideal Applications
-
Static Tooling & Inserts: Creating molds and masters for thermoforming, foam molding, and vulcanization.
-
Environmental Testing: Components for wind tunnels, environmental chambers, and under-the-hood automative testing.
-
Fluidic Components: High-temperature manifolds, nozzles, and valves for hot gas or liquid delivery.
-
Electronic Enclosures: Protective housings for sensors and circuitry exposed to high-heat operating environments.
-
Kitchen & Laboratory Ware: Prototypes for appliances or lab equipment that must withstand boiling water or sterilization.
FAQ
Does it Require Special Post-Processing?
Yes. To achieve the maximum 238 degrees Celsius HDT, parts must be post-cured. For the Form 4, use the Form Cure V2. For the absolute highest thermal performance, a secondary thermal bake in a non-UV oven is recommended.
Can I Use this for Injection Molding?
High Temp Resin is excellent for "soft tooling" applications like thermoforming or carbon fiber overlays. For high-pressure injection molding, we generally recommend Rigid 10k Resin due to its higher compressive strength and modulus.
