How Much Faster is the Form 4L Compared to the Form 3L?
The Form 4L is significantly faster, generally completing large-scale prints 2-4x faster than the Form 3L. While the Form 3L used dual scanning lasers, the Form 4L's LFD technology cures entire layers at once, allowing most large-format prints to finish in under 6 hours.
Does the Form 4L Require Two Resin Cartridges to Operate?
Yes. To match the speed of the LFD engine and account for the larger tank volume, the Form 4L uses a dual-cartridge system. The printer automatically manages the resin level, switching between cartridges to ensure your print never runs dry mid-job.
Can I Use the Form 4L for Biocompatible or Dental Applications?
While the Form 4L is an incredible industrial tool, biocompatible and dental-specific resins are officially supported on the Form 4BL. If your workflow requires certified biocompatible materials, we recommend the Form 4BL Basic or Complete packages.
