At CAD Micro, we can accept unopened items under a $500 value within 15 days of purchase.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for opened printers, opened filament, back ordered or special order items. To see our complete refund policy, please click here.
For opened 3D Printers, you will need to work with the manufacturer to get warranty support. An exception to this policy will be made if the manufacturer determines that the printer was defective upon arrival and authorizes a replacement.
Damaged Returns / Shortages
CAD Micro must be notified of damaged or short shipped items within 24 hours of receipt of shipment. CAD Micro will send a shipper to your facility to inspect and pick-up damaged items.
CAD Micro will not be held responsible for concealed damage and/or incorrect shipment claims beyond 5 business days of receipt.
Please refuse receipt, from carrier, any packages that have visible damage upon delivery and contact CAD Micro immediately at:

CAD Micro must be notified of defective items within 7 days of receipt of shipment.
CAD Micro will then issue a Return Merchandise Authorization and will provide a pre-paid return shipping label. Returns of defective items are for replacement only.
CAD Micro will pay outgoing shipping costs for the replacement merchandise.
All non-defective returns can be subject to a restocking fee which may include the cost of shipping the original order. Restocking fees will be determined at the time an RMA# is issued.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
The following items may NOT be returned to 3D Universe:
- Items from orders that are over 30 days old (from date of purchase)
- Used or opened items
- Discontinued items
- Items from discontinued vendors
- Items not purchased from 3D Universe
- Items where the original packaging is damaged or missing
- Downloadable software products
